1920's New Zealand All Blacks Match Worn Jersey

1928 - All Blacks Match Worn Jersey - Made by St. Margarets

This rare jersey was given to Vernon Vincent (EP 1957-1963 & Junior Springboks 1958) by the Editor of the Eastern Province Herald during Vernon's playing days. NZ Rugby Museum is of the opinion that the jersey must be from 1928 tour of South Africa. The jersey bears the number 12 which was worn by legendary All Black Mark Nicholls (Vice Captain - Wellington), although L.M. Johnstone (Wellington) also played in this position on tour. Jersey: lace up front, St. Margarets label, left armpit has a tear, number 2 has a tear. Superb All Black fern. Generally good condition for a 80 year old jersey.

This jersey was issued to an Australia player for the 1963 tour of South Africa. It was exchanged after the Eastern Province v Australia match. The jersey is in excellent condition, no tears or damage. Number is made of leather. The jersey material is fairly thick with extra sewn-in shoulder reinforcement. Size medium

Match Worn Eastern Province Jersey from this game. Jersey was worn by Eastern Province fullback Vernon Vincent. Condition is very good. No tears. Number intact. Vernon scored via penalty (3) in this game.

1958 France RF tour of South Africa

2 August 1958 - Junior Springboks vs France : Match Worn French Jersey

Match worn French jersey possibly from the France vs Junior Springboks game. Vernon Vincent played flyhalf for the Junior Springboks in that match. He only played 2 matches against the French touring team of that tour and he still has his jersey from the 2nd game, so this must have come from the Junior Springboks match. Condition - jersey has a tear to collar at rear and number is torn. Matching jersey number to the player, this jersey belonged to P. Lacroix. Vernon scored via drop goal in this match (3).

Worn by Vernon Vincent who played flyhalf (6) for the EP / Border / NEC Combination. The team strip was Border jersey, white shorts and EP socks. Result of this match France 16 EP/B/NEC 9. Vernon scored 3 points via penalty. Jersey is in excellent condition. No tears. Number is perfectly intact.

Northern Transvaal Match Worn Jersey:

This jersey was exchanged with the N.Tvl player after EP vs Northern Tvl match in the early 1960's. Dates and fixtures not known with certainty. Condition of this jersey - tear under left armpit. Number slightly torn. In Vernon Vincent's collection.

Natal Match Worn Jersey

This jersey was exchanged with the Natal player after EP vs Natal match in the early 1960's. Dates and fixtures not known with certainty. Condition of this jersey - Very good condition. Number in perfect condition. In Vernon Vincent's collection.
